As a keynote speaker, I teach audiences how to fascinate: How to fascinate customers. How to persuade employees. How to influence decisions.
And, I teach them how to do it in 9 seconds– the amount of time people will pay attention before getting distracted by the next shiny object.
So when creating my own speaking video, naturally, I couldn’t follow the traditional format of other keynote speakers. I needed to fascinate. And I did it by applying the same deeply-hardwired triggers that I teach in my speeches: Power, Passion, Mystique, Prestige, Alarm, Rebellion, and Trust.
Hidden within this video, I’ve actually applied every single one of the 7 triggers of fascination. For example, I apply the Trust trigger right at the start of the video, offering proof of quality in what leaders say about my speaking. I use Mystique at the end, walking off-stage after the standing ovation. But how did I use Prestige? Or Rebellion? Or Passion?
See if you can spot how I’ve applied each of the 7 triggers, in order to fascinateyou.
